Kinane Al Nabhani won the title of the fifth edition of the Proximus ePro League on Wednesday. At the Kinepolis in Brussels, the e-player from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise first beat Jonas De Corte, then reigning champion Gilles Bernard in the semi-final and final respectively.

Lorin Parys, CEO of the Pro League: "The new season of the Proximus ePro League has met all expectations. We coupled a shorter and more powerful format with a particularly exciting final event. With Kinane Al Nabhani (Royale Union Saint-Gilloise) as the ultimate winner. Finalists Gilles Bernard and Kinane also immediately secured a ticket for the Play-ins of the EA SPORTS FIFA 23TM Global Series."

The Kinepolis in Brussels was the scene of the Proximus ePro League season's climax. Club Brugge, KRC Genk, OH Leuven and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise qualified for the final event and could dream of being crowned Belgian champions. After their victory in the semi-final, this ambition became more concrete for Gilles Bernard and Kinane Al Nabhani.

With KRC Genk - Royale Union Saint-Gilloise as the final match, the stress for the title entered the film room. Kinane Al Nabhani handled it best. The e-player of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise proved to be the strongest in both games and is therefore crowned best FIFA player in Belgium this year.

Kinane Al Nabhani: "It's incredible and I am extremely proud. Especially since all my family and friends are here. I hope I have made them proud. My experience made the difference. I was lucky to play a World Cup with Morocco. I learnt a lot from that. I worked very hard with the coach to stay calm and that paid off today. It gives me great pleasure that I was able to finish it off against Gilles Bernard, a Proximus ePro League legend after all."

Mediamarkt, partner of the Proximus ePro League, presented both finalists with a nice gift voucher.
