Roboticket, new ticket provider in Belgian pro football

The Pro League has signed a multi-year agreement with Roboticket, which will become the ticket provider for the Jupiler Pro League and 1B Pro League starting from the 2022-2023 season. Lorin Parys, CEO Pro League: “This collaboration is unique in the international football world. Nowhere else in Europe do so many professional clubs use the same, standardised ticketing platform. Both clubs and supporters will benefit from this increase in scale. With Roboticket, Belgian football fans will soon be ordering via a user-friendly interface on their laptop, tablet or smartphone.”

An important objective of the Pro League is to support its clubs in the best way possible for their further development. That is why the Pro League enters into collective agreements, such as this one with Roboticket. For, at least, the next three seasons, the Polish company will be the ticket provider for 25 of the 26 professional clubs. Roboticket is a relatively new player in the international market, and its innovative platform has won over clubs such as FC Copenhagen, Cardiff City, Lech Poznań, and Palmeiras.

The Pro League is also convinced of Roboticket’s added value, both for clubs and fans. The registration process will be safer and it will be much easier for fans to quickly purchase tickets, subscriptions, and drink tickets through their smartphones with the new provider’s services. What’s more, the ticketing platform offers our clubs additional flexible integration options. Roboticket combines all that with a user-friendly interface.

The fan experience starts before you've even entered the stadium: on the computer or mobile screen. Michał Pyda, CEO Roboticket

Fan experience does not start at the gates of the stadium, but with the ticket purchase. That is Roboticket’s motto. “Ticketing connects fans, clubs and events. You can’t enjoy all the event’s attractions until you buy a ticket. So, the fan experience happens much earlier before you enter the stadium, on the computer or mobile screen. Roboticket feels responsible to connect all dots as smoothly as it gets and makes fans happy”, explains Michał Pyda, CEO of Roboticket.

Passed the litmus test

Roboticket’s platform passed its first tests in Belgium with flying colours. Those who bought tickets for South Africa’s practice match against Guinea on March 25th at the Guldensporen Stadium in Kortrijk, did so via the new ticket provider. RSC Anderlecht also relied on Roboticket for the cup final against KAA Gent. All 20,000 Brussels tickets were sold without a hitch.

With this multi-year deal, the Pro League continues its pioneering role in the field of collective service agreements. The partnership with Roboticket follows previous agreements with Hudl, Nielsen Sports, and Stats Perform, among others. With this type of collective agreements, we offer all our clubs access to the best technology on the market. They can then implement this in their day-to-day operations at their own pace.
