The new Jupiler Pro League app, indispensable for fans of Belgian football

In-depth statistics of your favourite club and players, real-time updates during all matches, the best video compilations and handy features that enhance the participation of supporters in the stadium, watching on television or in the pub. The brand new and free Jupiler Pro League app lets Pro League fans experience Belgian football up close.

As from today the Jupiler Pro League app can be downloaded from the App Store, on Google Play or the Pro League website. Thanks to the app you won't have to miss a second of the top tier of Belgian football. You will have the calendar, the table, the results and all statistics literally in your hand. Follow every Jupiler Pro League match minute by minute, with real-time updates about your favourite team. And you can also vote for the ‘Jupiler Man of the Match’ on the app.

The football fun on our Jupiler Pro League app is not restricted to match days. Insightful statistics about clubs and individual players bring out the analyst in you, by spewing amazing predictions before the match and discussing for hours after the match with friends and family. Missed a goal or amazing pass? No fear, because the video zone in the Jupiler Pro League app has highlights of all the duels and some great compilation videos.

Supporters will even be able to buy a cold Jupiler or other drinks on the app in Belgian football stadiums. Thanks to the collaboration with AB Inbev this will already be possible on matchday 11 at the stadium of SV Zulte Waregem. “We're glad to be able to offer an innovative added value to the fans together with the Pro League,” says Rob Aerts, Jupiler Senior Brand Manager. “Consumers’ expectations change quickly, which means the old Jupiler application needed innovating. The new app means supporters in a number of football stadiums will be able to skip the queues at the bar, or have their Jupiler brought straight to where they’re sitting.”

For and by fans

The Pro League has been working on this new application with award-winning IT company, In The Pocket, since 2020. It will be the centrepiece of its revamped digital content strategy. In recent weeks and months, the Ghent-based digital product developer also involved supporters in the test phase of the design. Thanks to the input of these fans, we were able to make some optimisations in the app to increase its user-friendliness and respond better to supporters' expectations. 

This way of working is a great example of how the Pro League wants to involve its most important stakeholder - the fan - in Belgian football. Over the next few months, we’ll use their feedback to expand and improve the Jupiler Pro League app to make an application that is fully customised to supporters. The features yet to be added include our Fantasy Pro League football game, expanded club pages and many more fan votes.
