Kipsta official Pro League ball partner from 2023

Kipsta, Decathlon's football brand, will be the official ball partner of the Pro League from the 2023-2024 season onwards. Decathlon and the Pro League concluded an agreement for 5 seasons for the Jupiler Pro League, 1B Pro League, Croky Cup and the Supercup. From then on, these competitions will be played with the Kipsta Official Match ball, a match ball with the FIFA Quality Pro Label. Besides that, Decathlon will also become a structural partner of the Football & Community activities of the Pro League.

The Pro League and Decathlon have been working together over the past few months to develop a structural continuation of the collaboration for the Supercup 2021. These discussions have now resulted in a multi-year deal for Belgian professional football, which will start with the 2023-2024 season. This means that - for the first time ever - all divisions of the Pro League, young and old, will be playing with the same match ball.

“After the Supercup, a successful test for both the Pro League and Kipsta, we kept talking. It soon became apparent that we found each other in a common vision. In addition, intensive tests with the match ball were carried out by several Pro League teams, with positive feedback. Decathlon wants to make quality sports equipment accessible to a broad audience and sees ideal ambassadors in the Pro League and its clubs. We are proud that we can take on that role together with the French Ligue 1, who will partner up with Kipsta from next season. The Pro League will help to keep the spotlights on Kipsta and thus help make football equipment accessible to a wide audience. Our goal is to get more people moving and playing football. Decathlon and its football brand Kipsta are also eager to kick-start the collaboration. “After the extension of our partnership with KV Oostende (2024) and a first collaboration with the Pro League, this is a new step for us in professional football”, says Vincenzo Verhoeven, responsible for partnerships and football clubs at Decathlon Belgium. “Our strategy is to make football accessible to the many; from young footballers and amateur football to professional football”, concludes Vincenzo.
