Pro League extends partnership with Gamebasics

The Pro League is delighted to announce its extended partnership with Gamebasics today. Gamebasics is the developer of the online football management game ‘Online Soccer Manager’.

The next two seasons all official club crests and player pictures of the 18 clubs in the Jupiler Pro League will be present in ‘Online Soccer Manager’.

Online Soccer Manager’ (OSM) is a popular football management game, that can be played both in-browser and via the app. You can pick your favourite team, transfer players and decide on the line-up and the best tactics.

The Pro League and Gamebasics have already been partners since 2015. The game’s popularity hasn’t stopped increasing since. The app is available in 50 countries and has been downloaded over 50 million times now.

“We’re happy that we can help the Jupiler Pro League with increasing its brand awareness across the world and adding authenticity to our game with the use of player images and club logos for our Belgian fans”, says Dave van Velzen, Chief Marketing Officer at Gamebasics.

One of the main drivers of the success of OSM is its social nature. There is no single player option. OSM is fun because you play it with other people. You can play with strangers, who live on the other side of the world, but you can also challenge your friends and colleagues close to home.

“Playing with others is what makes Online Soccer Manager stand out in its category of games. It is a valuable way to stay connected and in contact with other people – especially in the current context”, adds Stijn Van Bever, Head Of Communication at the Pro League.

Every Belgian football fan is also a bit of a coach. Do you want to guide your favourite team to victory and decide on the perfect line-up and tactics? Coach your team online with OSM and become the virtual Belgian champion.
