Pro League renews its agreement with Nielsen Sports for the next three seasons

After five successful years together, The Pro League (Belgian Football League) and all its professional clubs have renewed their agreement with Nielsen Sports for the next three seasons. The renewed agreement will see Nielsen Sports provide media and sponsorship evaluations for all Jupiler Pro League and 1B Pro League clubs for the 2020/2021, 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons.

Nielsen Sports, the global leader in sports marketing research and consulting, will once again measure and value the media impact of all sponsors of all Belgian professional clubs. In addition to this, Nielsen Sports will provide data and insights to further support the optimization of the commercial strategy and sponsorship development of all clubs.

“We are very pleased to renew our collaboration with the Pro League and to be able to continue to help and support all clubs in the development of their commercial and sponsorship strategy. In the current context, this mission has an even greater importance and we are confident in our ability to provide the right solutions and bring the necessary answers to the new challenges that clubs are currently facing. This true mark of confidence is particularly touching for us because the Pro League has entered a new era following an immense amount of groundwork at the commercial level, the first reward of which was the signing of the historic contract for the allocation of television rights to Eleven Sports (not only for its amount but also for its content and its offer to football fans). We are very proud to be one of the Pro League's loyal partners in this development,” said Jerome Bouchat, Commercial Director for Nielsen Sports in France and Benelux.

Among various services, Nielsen Sports will also supply each club with unique data and insights to further drive efficiency for existing and potential partners.

“We are delighted to announce our renewed agreement with Nielsen Sports. The goal of the Pro League is to support its clubs in their professional development. This collective deal helps to support all  Pro League-clubs in the valorisation of their partnerships and the further development of their commercial strategy. The analyses made and provided for by Nielsen will shape the sponsorship strategies of our clubs. The Pro League relies on the support of their loyal partners in the current context and is happy to be able to extend the agreement with Nielsen Sports with 3 more years,” stresses Pierre François, CEO of the Pro League.
